Design & Pre-Construction

Every project begins with a design consultation, where we introduce our building philosophy and you share your ideas and requirements. Together we address style, square footage, interior and exterior amenities, building materials, budget, and timeline. Our Plan Designer then produces a blueprint and specification sheet, followed by full-color renderings that show the colors and textures of your home in three dimensions. This phase is the most thorough by design — resolving details here prevents the delays and cost overruns that surface when they’re left for the field.

Selections & Allowances

Once construction begins, you’ll make more than 300 decisions covering everything that goes into the home after the slab is poured and the frame is up: flooring, countertops, appliances, plumbing, lighting, and more. An allowance budget, pre-approved and earmarked from the start, keeps those choices on track. Come in under budget and the credit can be applied to another feature or deducted from your total.

Our Interior Designer accompanies you personally to our neighboring showroom. Most builders hand over a vendor list; we work alongside you, so every decision is considered from every angle while the final call remains yours.

Production & Construction

While selections are underway, production begins and the blueprint becomes a physical home. Our Production Manager stays on-site throughout, managing time, resources, and quality control. Backed by deep production expertise, long-standing vendor partnerships, and a standard of excellence in craftsmanship, we deliver on time and on budget — a home that is beautifully customized, exceptionally crafted, and state-of-the-art in form and function.

Project Fulfillment & Warranty

Our responsibility doesn’t end at closing. At the final walk-through, you’ll receive a paint touch-up kit, a Homeowner Move-in Supplies Package, and a selection binder documenting every roofing, paint, flooring, and tile choice for future reference. You can use these materials yourself or schedule repairs with a T.A. French representative. Our one-two-ten warranty program, with a six-month inspection, keeps us accountable long after you’ve moved in.

Remodeling Your Home

Design That Fits Your Life

Our remodeling division designs and builds projects made for a lifetime of enjoyment. Every successful remodel starts with design that fits your taste, lifestyle, and budget, which is why we’re involved from the earliest planning stages. We also offer a third-party inspection before construction begins, conducted by a licensed professional registered with the state of Texas. This report helps to identify needed repairs to address up front, rather than surfacing later as costly change orders.

Planning Meetings

Your first meeting covers the project overview, your budget, and how we work — including the permitting, state registration, engineering, and drafting your specific project will require. Every remodel is different, and guidelines vary accordingly.

At the follow-up meeting, we review scopes of work, project drafting, and the timeline. At the final design meeting, we lock in plan changes and design selections, review your total investment, and hand off our qualified supplier list. These suppliers are the best in the industry and genuinely knowledgeable, which makes selections easier and more enjoyable.

Pre-Construction & Construction

The pre-construction meeting is held on site, giving our construction management staff the chance to walk through every stage of your project alongside you and confirm the schedule, selections, and final plans.

Once construction starts, we run continuous quality control inspections and trade meetings backed by strong project management. We also establish the communication method that works best for you and stick with it, keeping the process clear and as stress-free as possible.

Interval Meetings for Remodels

We involve clients throughout construction to keep expectations aligned. These meetings are open invitation and never mandatory:

  • Pre-construction meeting
  • Site foundation placement
  • Foundation pre-pour (if applicable)
  • Electrical walk and low voltage
  • Pre-flatwork and landscaping
  • Pre-insulation
  • Pre-carpentry
  • Internal quality control inspection
  • Pre-close home orientation
  • Final punch walk
  • 90-day warranty inspection
  • 1-year warranty inspection

Final Walk-Through

Once every punchlist item is complete, we conduct the final walk-through. Our goal is a zero-item punchlist, and our commitment to excellence is what gets us there. We finish with a full orientation and a review of the warranty procedures covering your project.
