About Our Company
At T. A. French Custom Builder, our mission is to build luxurious custom homes that exceed the dreams of our clients. Troy French and his team offer unparalleled expertise, craftsmanship, and homebuilding experience in New Braunfels and throughout the Texas Hill Country.
Real Experience. Honest Communication.
At T. A. French Custom Builder, our team of seasoned professionals is defined by an uncompromising commitment to excellence. We strive for complete customer satisfaction in every aspect of our business. Renowned for both expertise and precision, we bring a refined approach to every detail—delivering homes that are as enduring as they are extraordinary.
When you build with us, you don’t simply get a superintendent assigned to oversee your project—your home is more important than that. Every T. A. French home has a proven building professional as a project manager. That project manager handles day-to-day scheduling, quality, cleanliness, and communication. In addition to a proven project manager, our homeowners also have the benefit of direct communication with the business owner and founder, Troy French. Troy, or T. A. as some refer to him, personally oversees all aspects of the business including but not limited to the construction of every home. Our clients typically meet with T. A. in one of their first introductory meetings. Throughout the remainder of the process, every client has his personal contact information so that he may assist with any of their needs along the way.
Clear, intentional communication sits at the core of our process, ensuring each client feels informed, confident, and fully aligned from concept to completion. Our team is not only highly skilled but genuinely invested, offering a level of service that is as thoughtful as it is seamless. The result is more than a custom home. It is a statement of craftsmanship and design, tailored to reflect your vision while capturing the distinctive beauty and character of the Texas Hill Country.

Our Team
About Troy (T. A.)
A native Texan, Troy (T. A.) French was born in McAllen and raised in Corpus Christi. Growing up in a family rich with construction knowledge dating back to the 1800’s, it seemed inevitable that Troy would enter the construction industry himself.
In 1998, Troy began working for a rural property improvement company as a field laborer. While there, Troy was able to gain experience in field management and operating heavy machinery. In 2002, Troy made the move to the Texas Hill Country and found work in Austin for a general contractor as an assistant superintendent. After only three months, he was promoted to superintendent, in charge of field operations for the contractor.
In 2005, Troy accepted the position of construction manager for a prominent custom home builder in the Comal County area. During his time there, he was in charge of day-to-day operations of several projects, including larger builds worth well over a million dollars. Before long, Troy began assisting with all activities of the company, from budgeting, estimating, and sales to trade relations. The extensive knowledge gained from this experience motivated Troy not only to become a licensed Realtor in the state of Texas, but also to start his own company.
T. A. French Custom Builder is a local Texas company built on integrity and experience. Along with his extensive track record of building beautiful custom homes, Troy has joined with some of the finest craftsmen in the area to offer fellow Texans an amazing build experience and homes that exceed their expectations.
